Decree-Law 23/2009 Of 5th of August 2009 Law On Food Safety And Business Administrative Offences
All the administrative offenses against Food Safety and Business, which are not classified as a crime, will fall under the scope of the present decree.
The procedure will be guided by what is stated in the present diploma. The Inspector-General of the Food Safety and Business Inspection Authority (IAE) will be responsible for the application of the sanctions. Complementary sanctions fall, however, under the jurisdiction of the Minister for Tourism, Commerce, and Industry.
The Penal Code and the Law on Administrative Sanctions may be also applicable.
